My cats chews my hair.

Hi I have a one year old cat whom we got from the pound. She is a little shy around the kids but is very sweet natured. My question concerns her habit of chewing my hair. If I am watching tv then she is on the arm of the couch chewing my hair. She is not violent at all nor is she licking my hair but gently biting at the scalp and then kindof letting go slowly almost like flossing. I am not really bothered by it I just thought it was a little unusual and didn't know if this is anything to worry about.

Hi Adrian!  I have a kitty that does this too.  Cats love to groom themselves...grooming us humans is actually a sign of affection, and that is exactly what she is doing to you!
Seems as though you have an admirer!
Give her tons of kisses for me!
