Dachshund muzzle spots

Question
QUESTION: Hi, I have a 12-moth old Dachshund, and two questions. First of all, the woman we got her from said she was a mini, but she looks big to me, here are pics:

according to my bathroom scale she's about 5 lbs which I guess means she'll end up just under or at 11 as an adult, which would make her a mini, right? I just thought she looked big for her age.
Also and most importantly, I've noticed 2 tiny grey spots on her muzzle on one side, one looks like a grey scab and the other looks bald, they are the size of the head of a pin, or maybe tiny teeth punctures, which made me think they might be little bite marks from her dog friend. She's not itching her face, and the rest of her coat is perfect.

ANSWER: Hi Mary-Anne,
A 12 month old dachshund IS an adult now. If she is only 5 lbs then I would call her a mini. A one year old regular dachshund is generally around 11-15 lbs full grown.

If these spots haven't grown and there is no baldness spreading, then I would just watch them. Spreading spots or more on the head, neck or body could mean mange is starting.
