Abcesses on hocks

Question
My rescued greyhond developed an abcess on the front hock last summer.He was treated with antibioctics for several months which did not help, then refered to
a surgeon who did a biopsy and removed the mass.
There was no cancer in the mass and a chest exray
was clear.There is however a low grade leukemia
in the blood.
My question is is there anything I can do to help reduce the swelling without resorting to antibiotics?He has also developed one on his back hock which was not there last year.

make sure you get it checked out again even thought last year it was benign.

you CAN do hydrotherapy on it. This is water under pressure. Basically stand him in the shower and use one of those portable/detachable shower heads and spray his hock for 5 minutes with luke-warm water.
