QuestionI have a 6 year old cat who will occasionally gobble his food and vomit or vomit when he has a hairball. This doesn't happen too frequently and my vet said he is fine. This weekend he vomited several times but seems fine now. It all looked liked food or hairballs. I should add that I think he's stressed out. He doesn't deal well with change and we have a baby on the way. Can this be the cause?

There are several reasons why cats vomit or "throw up" their food. Constipation, hairballs, inflammatory bowel disease and stress are just a few conditions that can cause a cat to vomit. Have your pet examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible to determine why he is vomiting.
