what do i do about my 11 yr old boxer who has lost control of his bladder and always seems to be thirsty?


Answer
You call the vet and have him tested for diabetes and kidney disease. Those are common symptoms. They are also common findings in kidney disease. The bladder control issue is usually because the dog is drinking so much (p/d) that the bladder cannot hold all the urine (p/u). We call these dogs P/U,P/D for that reason.

Cushings disease can also be symptomatic this way.
The first step is to call the vet and get the dog in asap.
