Question
My dog has a bacterial infection on her tummy. She has had it for about 6 months. We have been to the vets on numerous occasions they have tested her for lots of different things they have run biopsies, skin tests. The infection is resistant to antibiotics. The vets don't seem to know what it is.She is on Prednisole again to help with the itching. She goes for walks everyday she eats twice a day and she plays with toys. She has been clipped underneath her tummy and we spray her daily with hibby scrub. We are now trying a hypo-allergenic food. Can somebody help and tell me what to do?

Answer
Maybe it's not a bacterial infection but a fungus. I am not a vet but if your vet isn't finding something to combat this you need to take the cat to a dermatologist, preferably canine.

I am very limited in what I can tell you other than that. You might want to try some alternative medicines for it also, or see a veterinary acupuncturist.

I am sorry I cannot offer more than that.
