Paint inhalation

Question
Hello,

I need some advice on what I should do. Recently we painted a small
walk in closet to keep all our pet birds in. We have finches, lovebirds,
parakeets and canaries. We kept them in the closet for about 2 and a half
hours until I realised that paint can harm them. The closet though didn't
smell too harsh, but the smell was still in the air. They seem to be
perfectly fine now though. The paints used were CIL smart and SICO
expert. Should I see a vet just in case???

Thanks so much!!!!!

Answer
If they are fine now then they should be. Most birds would succumb pretty fast to fumes but I would keep them out of there for a few days just in case.

You might want to call your vet on Monday but if they are still okay by then they will probably be fine.
However, I am not a vet or a bird expert.

You might want to post this to the bird section.
