Question
First and for most Id like to just say thank you for taking the time to read this and this has nothing to do with a pet that I need help with. Just more of a you could say interview, helping me acknowledge what is best and expect our of picking Veterinarian science as a career and lifestyle.
Hi, I am a college freshman taking general biology this semester. I have a passion for helping animals. Im currently flunking the actual coarse and I feel as if Im not cut out for this major.I wanted to know if you had ever gone thru a stubble in the road and felt as if your making the wrong choice. If you did what bumps did you smooth out and how?
Is it just easier to take a pre-vet. coarse ?
Are there other majors that you could take instead of Biology?
What are the types of education you need in order to actually practice in a clinic?

Thank you again.

Please email me at HealthyAnimals@aol.com to continue this conversation and read the previous answers Ihave given here.

1. You need perfect spelling to get into veterinary college as the competition is very hard.
2. We all have bumps. Sometimes it means you need a different path, sometimes it means you just need to work harder. Freshman year can be a challenge.
3. since I went to veterinary college 35 years ago, you need current, up to date information from the veterinary college itself. for other possible careers, consult your guidance counselor.
4. You need a doctor of veterinary medicine to have a license to practice in a veterinary clinic.
