dog has swollen penis with white pus ozzong out

my 7 year old diabetic black lab/shepherd mix who gets 35 cc of novelen  n twice a day  has been having licking his penis area.  when I looked today it is swollen and red with white pus oozing out.  he holds his urine fine and goes in a steady stream, but he keeps licking at it and he smells like stinky butt.

He has an infection in his sheath most likely. The only thing you can do is take him into the vets tomorrow. He/She can pull the sheath down and see if there is a foreign body in it (like a sticker) or if it's just infected.

Make an appointment with your vet first thing tomorrow morning.

In the mean time don't try and stop him from licking, it will never work!
