licking of paws

Question
We have an 8yr old dachsund who licks his paws continuously.  Top,bottom,between nails,everything.  I heard on a TV show that this may be caused by mites or some type of pest.  Is this true? Or just a nervous habit?

get your dog in to see your vet.

Licking can be a nervous habit that has now turned into a secondary problem such as a yeast infection, so get it checked out.

Mange (mites) tend to be more all over the body and not just the feet.
