Question
I noticed 2 days ago, that my 2 year old Black Lab is raw around your neck in the front. I immediately thought it had gotten irritated by her collar and the heat. So, I have removed it. Yesterday, I came home and she now has a raw spot (about the size of a golf ball) on the top of her head. Now I'm wondering if something else is going on! She is an indoor dog. Any advice before I take her into her vet would be much appreciated!

Probably hot spots (moist dermatitis) which is often related to allergies, a result of scratching and damaging the skin.   The vet will be able determine if this is the problem or if something else is going on.  Most likely she will need antibiotics and maybe a steroid injection.
