My Cats Obsessive Licking

Question
For some time my 10 year old cat Genesis has been licking an inordinate amount of time.  A lot was going on when she began doing it so we thought it might be a response to stress similar to nail biting, but now it's gotten worse to the point where she is developing bald spots on her abdomen and legs.  I'm in a horrible financial situation and to bring her into the vet and pay $90 just to walk in the door if it's an allergy or something.....

She doesn't seem to be in any pain or have bugs, a rash or anything else....

Can you just give me your thoughts/opinion?

I can give you any additional info/pics you need.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Answer
Hi I did reply to this but it appears not to have been on system ,so sorry for delay in receiving this second response.Hi look to her diet. The behavioural issues she is displaying are normally linked to a dry diet or one that is commercially based. I suggest that you start her on real food asap, remove all dry foods at once and start with white fish cooked (poached)with some mashed carrots or green veggies.Brown rice should be kept to an minimum but can be used, to bulk up for fibre, as can ground oatmeal.
Good foods the cat requires are high in protein but low in fat
duck, turkey, chicken, pork, beef, kidney, lamb,
all white fish, salmon, tuna in tins, prawns, lobster, crayfish.
white cooked potato can be used too
no dairy at all and the only drink is water.

By mixing the above list up daily to an amount no larger forthe day of 200g then the cat will be a good weight for the long term, have excellent digestion and will not itch or have mental health issues.

Supplements to be given
Salmon oil 1000mcg twice weekly for life
cranberry extract 500mcg per week
omega 369 daily 75-100mcg for life

all are human based products and I would use these instead of pet ones which in the main are are con
