cloudy water in a marine tank

Question
I have a 110lt marine tank that is approx 4 months old.

The levels of nitrate/nitrite etc are ok as is the ph level of 8.2

I have an eheim filter system that is large enough to handle a 200lt tank and an air stone.

The fish in the tank are a trigger/clown/file/tailfin and a wrasse. They are swimming fine and seem to be ok.

I take out approx 15% of the tank evey two weeks or so and use a buffer to keep the levels constant.

Over the last 4 weeks or so the water has started to become cloudy and looks quite 'milky'. I have tried turning off the light for a few days and I have also added some 'cotton wool' to the filter to try and sift out the algea to no avail.

Any help or thoughts would be very welcome.

thanks David.

Answer
Try to do some more water changes, I would try to do about 20% per week until the problem clears up. Do you have a skimmer? If not I recommend adding one, also if you are doing so now I would also use R/O DI water. Let me know how it goes.

Michael
