Compatability

Question
IN my tank I have a sailfin(meadium), flameangel(small), pearlscale butterfly(small), damsel, firefish, and 2 clowns. I was wondering if i could add shrimp and/or snails to the mix. Ive read in some places that with this types of fish no and in other places yes.

Hello Sam!

I would not try to put any expensive snails or shrimp in there, as the pearlscale is very well known as a good invert eater. However, since it is still small you may be able to get away with something.

You could buy a couple cheap turbo snails or margarita snails. They may last awhile but if they don't, it would only be a couple bucks compared to the $20 or $30 if it had eaten a shrimp.

Try it if you would like to, but don't put in any snail or shrimp that you aren't prepared to lose.
