Question
QUESTION: Dear Tyler
I just purchased a tank and waiting for it to be ready for seahorses.  While helping a friend move i was given a chocolate chip starfish.  I want to know if it will be compatible with my seahorses to come.  Right now the starfish is in the tank.
Please help
Sophia

ANSWER: Hey Sophia

Yep, theyre completely compatible. When you are ready for the seahorses, there will be no problems

QUESTION: Cool how often do i need to feed the starfish.  I have been giving him krill.  Also I have aiptasia anemones that came with the live rock.  They are growing like crazy is it ok to have them with sea horses? If you can get a list of fish compatible with sea horses that would be great!  How long would you recommend letting the tank cycle before getting sea horses? Sorry this is so long. We used water from our established tank and live sand.  What do you reccommend?
Help,
Sophia

Answer
Yep, they eat krill, brine shrimp, and mysis shrimp. aiptasias are fine with them, aiptasias are just a harm to corals.

with seahorses, most slow moving and smaller fish are fine with them, like oscellaris clownfish, skunk clowns, clown gobies, firefish, etc.

Did you use any cured live rock from your other tank? if so, you should be good to go, if you only transferred over the sand and water, and thats all you used before, it again should be alright. If you are adding uncured live rock, you need to wait a month

if you need a more specific stock list (ex. gobies, firefish, etc) feel free to ask
