i had had a 20 gallon saltwater tank then switched it to freshwater and now i wanna go back to saltwater.DO I HAVE TO BUY ANYMORE LIVE ROCK????my rock is all white sum has purple spots and one has red hard pieces is there a chemical or anything to do to be able to make it live again

Hi Neno

I would get rid of all of the rock you have now.  It has been contaminated during its use in freshwater.  If you have any sand, do the same.  Add as much new live rock as possible to begin a new cycle.

There are no chemicals that I know of to make 'dead' rock 'live'.  The bacteria which makes rock 'live' is everywhere, even on you and me :)
