Question
I am currently planning to build a wet-dry sump and overflow box. Most all the information i have seen on line shows acrylic for building the sump and overflow. I'm a welder and it would be far more easy for me to build out of stainless steel or aluminum.Is there any reason why these can't be used?

Thank you for your letter. If working with metal is easier for you, I don't see any problem. Just don't use lead or some other toxic heavy metal! He he.
They probably show acrylic because it's easier for most people.
