can oscars eat canned salmon

Dear Rickie,
I've never heard of an Oscar eating canned salmon but it might be all right as long as there are no other ingredients in it.  Also, make sure they are getting a really balance diet and not just the salmon since if they don't get  enough variety they are prone to hole in the head disease.  I personally have never fed my oscar salmon. Mine usually gets pellets, krill and crickets.  If you do decide to feed the salmon just check to be sure it doesn't have alot of additives since I don't know how he might react to them. If you are not sure still about feeding the salmon, maybe you should stick with regular fish foods just in case the oscar has problems with the salmon. Best of Luck!
