guppy care

Question
About a month ago we noticed one baby guppy in our tank.  It seems to be doing fine.  Today we noticed 3 or 5 new babies.  They are very very tiny.  We have two adult guppies, and 3 tetras.  I don't want to become a breeder.   How do I care for the new ones?  I am willing to buy another tank to keep the adult guppies separated.  What do you suggest?

Answer
hello,
If you don't want to be a breeder, then just don't do anything with the babies. Most will probably get eaten this way and if they live then you just get new fish.

Another thing you could do is buy the new tank, and put all of the females in it. After they all give birth (they are most likely all pregnant) keep them seperated from the male(s). As the babies get older, and you can tell a male from a female, take out any males and put them into the other tank. once they are all adults, there won't be any more babies because males and females will be seperated. AS long as they are all seperated, there wont be any new babies.

I hope this info helps, feel free to ask any future questions.
best wishes, chelsey
