i have a female platty that has constantly been sitting on the bottom of the tank for about a week. she looks as if she is pregnant as very fat. she will only move to get food or change to another position on floor of tank. is she ill or could she be going to have babies soon.

Hi Pam,
She may indeed be getting close to having her babies soon. But just to be sure, do a couple of 50% water changes to eliminate any possibility of poor water quality making her feel bad.
