how to make sure ich is removed

Hello, I would like to know how do you make sure your tank is rid of ich? What is the proper way to clear it up? Ihave added salt to the aquarium and raised my water temp to 80, I also did a 10% water change before I added the ich med and the salt.

The Ich cycle of life is temperature dependant but you can generalize that it is 36 hours or so. The reason you raise temps when you have Ich is to speed up the cycle. Ich can only be killed during its free swimming stage, so raising the temperature will speed this cycle so more can be killed faster.

Usually its safe to say 7 days with no symptoms on the fish and you are done.
