black moor needing treatment?!?!

hey there i have added a new fish to my freshwater aquarium and i recent realised that it was nipping at the tail of my black moor. the black moor has been nipped quite badly but does not seem ill in any way. it has no trouble swimming or eating but i am worried about wheter i should treat it? I have obviously removed the fish that was nipping from the aquarium. i would be gratefull for any response. thanks kevin

if it's not showing any signs of sickness i wouldnt worry too much. if fins are in fact damaged the will regrow with time. if it has any open woulds i would treat it with melafix and that should helpout the problem. Does not sound like he's hurt seriously but keep your eye on him as symptoms could evolve...
