betta fish died

Question
What happen when a betta male fish die? Do I put a differnt male betta fish with the pregnant female betta fish. When the female is pregnant with the dead betta fish? Do I just leave it alone or put a different male betta fish?

Hi Jimmyram;

Male and female betta fish should not be together all the time. They can hurt or kill each other. They can be introduced to each other just to spawn but you have to condition them for a couple of weeks and let the male build his nest. Once the female finishes laying eggs, remove the female to her own tank. Here is a page with photos to help you more;
