Question
i have a tank with a young pair of convicts,my female has laid her first batch of eggs and the are kind of yellow,i have never seen eggs this color before, they are usually clear and get darker.they are on the second day are are not turning white.do you think maybe she is still too young or maybe the male didn't fertilize?

Answer
Hi Lainie,
Convicts can spawn when they are very young and very small. Usually the eggs are a yellowish coloration. As long as they don't turn white they most likely are fertile. All you can do is wait and see. It'll have to be a surprise! ;-)

Best wishes,
Karen~
