fresh puffer fish

Question
I have 2 green and yellow puffer fish . One is growing and seemingly doing well. My 2nd seems very skinny although very active and entertaining .... I love these guys they are cute,cute,cute ... anyway I'm concerned the second is not doing well, he looks skinny and tonite I noticed 1 very tiny white spot between his tail and mid section  and he is not right . What can i do too help my little freind?

Hi Kim,
Sorry to hear about the little puffer being sickly. Do you see him get a chance to eat at feeding times or is the other puffer being a bully and taking all the food? It may be that he is timid and can't compete well for food. I'm not sure about the spot, it may be a injury and hopefully its not ich starting. Keep a close eye on him and I would observe them closely and see if the little skinny guy is getting his fair share of food at feeding times. If he isn't, you may have to separate them.

If the skinny puffer eats well but still looks skinny then its possible he could have internal parasites.
