Baby tears plant.

Question
I just bought two baby tears aquatic plants in pots. I was wondering if these were good plants to choose and what type of water parameters they needed. Do they need CO2? I have lots of fish, can overpopulating with a good filter and lots of water changes make up for not having CO2 if it is required? Just want to know how to take care of it. Thanks.

Answer
Hi Will,
Baby tears is a high demanding plant that does best with intense lighting and CO2 a plus.

The plant will probably be alright. It just wont grow to its full potential and wont grow as fast as it usually would. Metal halide or power compacts are best but it can be grown under regular lighting and will really take off with CO2 added but its not completely necessary.

I really hope this helps and best wishes!
