Question
hello i have on 20 gallon tank with  clawed frogs and 4 black clawed frogs and i have an abundance of algae what do you think would be a good algae eater i dont have a heater or bubbler but a bio wheel filter i was thinking of a bamboo shrimp thanks

Answer
You could get shrimp but the better one would be plecastomus algae eaters, the basic algae eaters. You could get three small or two medium ones. They love algae. You could also get a few snails. They love alage as well. You could actually get shrimp, algae eaters, and snails, they would all work together. If this does not help after a few weeks, try an algae treatment, like algae gone. Make sure it is safe for all the fish you have, it will say on the bottle. Also, be sure to do regular water changes but not more often than every three or four weeks. Finally, dont overfeed. This is a common reason the algae grows. Oh, also make sure the tank is not by a window or in a very humid room, these contribute to algae growth.
