Hi Terry:  It is almost impossible to tell the differences between male and female in green terrors.  You almost have to wait until they pair off and start mating.  The males are usually larger then the females by several inches but when you are choosing fish that are all the same size you can not tell the difference.  The best way to find get a breeding pair is to get two from one store and two from another store and put them all in the same tank... but please do this when they are small and watch for aggression.  dave
