Bloody Parrot acting wierd

Question
My bloody parrot fish(4 of them) have been acting wierd for the past 4 days. They will be laying on the bottom, sideways, just not moving how they did when we got them. They use to stay in there own house, now they are on opposite sides of the tank, can you at least give me an idea what is wrong with them?

Answer
Hi Samantha:  Could be a couple of things.  First I would ask that you get your water tested as it may be a toxicity issue that is causing the fish to be on the bottom. In the meantime I would do a 30% water change to be safe.  Let me know what the results of the water chemistry tests are.  Second I am wondering what else is in the tank with the Parrot fish.  Parrot fish can be very timid and non-aggressive so if something else is in the tank that is "picking on them" then they will lay flat on the bottom as a means to hide. Can you tell me more about the layout of your tank... you man just need a few more hiding places for them.... keep me updated...dave
