silver molly

Question
I have a silver molly and it has a orange bump on the side and when i look at it with light i can see the orange on the other side. Is that bad and how can i fix it if it is?

  What are your water readings? Are you doing weekly water changes? Without a picture I can only guess at what I think it is. To me it sounds like a tumor. Is your molly eating well and swimming good? If everything else is ok I would just watch him/her and see if anything changes is his/her behavior. Are there other fish in that tank? If so, what else is swimming around? Let me know and I can try to help you better.
