Oscar with Bloat?

Question
I have an Oscar in a 100 gallon tank, and I think it has bloat. What medication do you recommend? I have been searching online and found 2: Fungus Eliminator by Jungle and Clout. The tank has been set up for about a year. Oscar's tank mates are a red devil, 3 tinfoils, 2 pleicos, 3 loaches, 3 yo-yos, and 1 kissing gourami. We have two filters one magnum and a double biowheel filter.  I want to begin treatment asap as my Oscar has displayed symptoms for a few weeks and we tried metrazole (two treatments). What should we do?

Answer
Hi Joy;

What kind of food do you feed him?
How much and how often do you feed?
How often are you making water changes?
How big is he and how old is he?
What is the water temperature?
Are his scales sticking out like a pinecone?
Does he get in fights with any of the others?

The medications you have found are not going to help. His problem is internal and those meds only treat the outside of the fish. He may not need medication at all. For now, until you can get back to me with more info, feed him cooked and cooled green peas and no other foods. It is great for the other fish too. This helps the digestive system and will help with possible constipation and gas. Also make a water change of 25%. This will help him feel better no matter what the problem may be.

Hope to hear back from you soon......
