Betta Fish Question

Hi,
My betta fish keeps floating to the surface of the water in his fish bowl.  I just did a water change and he seemed to do this after the water change.  I made sure the water stood overnite and I added conditioning drops also.  Could the water change have any thing to do with it.  He's eating and swimming around a little but only at the top of the water.  He swims down to the bottom but then floats back up.  What could be causing this and how can I treat it?  Thank You

It sounds like a swim bladder problem. It is often related to constipation. Here is a web page about it and what you can do to help him;
