black moor died =(

 I got a Black Moor yesterday and it died this morning. I don't know why. My mom insisted on using a glass drum bowl but I thought it was to small. We did though. On the first day it would not eat it would spit it out. My mom said he needed to get use to his home. Then all afternoon he was just breathing at the top of the bowl. This morning he was floating on his side dead. I was upset. So this afternoon I'm going back to the store buying a 10 gal. (all I can afford thats big enough) I just want to know what was wrong with Shadow. Please help.

It sounds like you didn't use the appropriate conditioners for the water (which is understandable if you are a beginner).  Go to your local aquarium/fish store and buy some water ager for the water.  Use the amount suggested on the bottle.  If you used the appropriate conditioners, make sure that you have enough oxygen in the water.  You can add oxygen to the water by getting a pump with an air tube and putting the tube in the tank or connect it to a filter and put it in the tank.  But a 10gal tank should be fine (even for two).  I would get another so he doesn't get lonely.
P.S: Your mum had the right idea ;).
