First, you need a rather large aquarium, something on the order of 80 to 100 gallons. It isn't hard to breed them, the hard part is keeping them from killing one another. That takes a big tank and you have to watch them very carefully because one can kill another in a confined space in a matter of hours (or even less). Basically, provide them with a large flat surface (like a rock or piece of slate) on which to lay eggs and that's all they need.
