Water changed and slim

Question
I have two oscar fish and I changed the water and added an algae fighter and Easy balance chemicals to the water they are getting used to it but they have a lot of slim is this ick on them

Hi Oscar,
  You should never see any slime on a fish. The slime should be there but it should be transparent. If you see it, something is seriously wrong and it generally means that they are trying to protect themselves from something either on them, such as ick parasites, or something in the water.

  When you change the water, you should only change about 20% at a time.  I never add algae fighter.  I don't know what Easy balance chemicals are, please explain.
