I did a twenty five percent water change...I cleaned the gravel..
I change the filters ...put in new air stones and a bubble wand .. I am bump up temp to see if that will help

I have five other blood parrots that I dont want sick  could you please help me

Thanks

Nikki

ANSWER: Hi Nikki,
My guess is that the other fish are bullying that fish.   Is there anyway that you can separate it?

Also, you mentioned that you did a 25% water change. You should be doing that every week to keep your fish happy and healthy.

The temperature should be around 78-80oF.

QUESTION: it has a fat stomach too it is starting to turn black again when it was younger it was all black when I got it  I have had it for a while it is also breathing fast and staying at the top of the tank were the filter is   r you sure the other fish r being mean because there is r stumps for it to hide in the others can not fit in

ANSWER: Hi Nikki,
I cannot say for sure because I can't see what is going on. The color change doesn't mean much because parrot cichlids can change colors at various times in their lives for a bunch of reasons.  The fat stomach is not good and the breathing fast definitely is not good.  If you can, you should separate it from the others.

QUESTION: thanks ron  The other fish killed him  I have a pair that are nesting and that get real aggressive when the female lays eggs ... will they ever hatch because they always seem to eat them it would be nice to get them to hatch

Answer
Hi Nikki,
The problem with blood parrot cichlids is that they are a man-made hybrid so a lot of the time they are unable to breed successfully.
