Question
Dear Matt, i currently have a 75 gallon tank, with 2 green terrors,1 jack
dempsey,1 clown knife fish,a red and blue zebra,1 Auratus,1 albino pleco and
a firemouth. the zebras, auratus and firemouth are under 4 inches. everyone
else ranges from 4-6 inches. except the clown is around 12inches. i am very
interested in adding a pictus catfish. if i provide plenty of hiding spots do you
think this is a wise idea? also my green terrors have been together since i
purchased them but just recently started fighting a lot. there always together
though fighting or not. do you recommend having the African cichlids in the
tank? and do you think i am at my max with fish for 75 gallons.

Answer
First of all, you shouldnt be mixing south american cichlids with african cichlids. They need VERY different waterparameters to thrive. You will soon be over your max for your 75. If you put a pictus in, he will end up being expensive food.

You need to figure out what knd of cichlids you want. South american, or african, before you go adding anything else.

Lemme know if you have any more questions.

Thanks,
  ~Matt
