needle nose gar

Question
I have had this fish for about 2 months now and when I first got him he had a small growth on the end of his beak.Now he is about 7 inches long and the grows is nearly as large as his eye it looks almost like a tumor and it seems to be getting bigger. The gar is in a 55 gal. and seems to be eating normally.  If you have any information or suggestions I would be most grateful.

Hi Corey,
  This sort of fish can easily get such a thing on the end of its "nose" by constantly bumping it into stuff (end of the tank, rocks, etc).
