Answer
Hi Susan,
Mollies need aquarium salt in there water.  One teaspoon to 2 gallons of water.  Mollies often finish their lives in salt water.  Without salt, they will not last.  Their water must be alkaline, between 7.6 and 8.0PH.  (This may be the reason why he is sick)  If not, check your ammonia, and nitrites.  Your ammonia level must be zero, and your nitrites must also be zero.
He is showing symptoms of "Fin, and Tail rot."  This disease can eat away at a fish very quickly.  It is mostly caused by poor water conditions.  Check your water, make sure your water chemistry is right, if not do a 25% water change, and 10% water changes everyday until your water is perfect.  Treat him with tetracycline.  Make sure that your water chemistry is right before treatment.  Medication will not work if your water chemistry is off.
I hope this will help, and that the little guy will recover.
