Questionmy male betta is almost 3 yrs old...I recently noticed a knot about 1/4 inch behind his pectoral fin. He has never been sick and now he does not appear to be sick its just that its not normal for that to be there. when he swims he swims lop sided and has been laying around on leaves alot...i looked at the anotomy of a betta and it seems to be in the same area as his liver...any advise
AnswerHi Mary,
Sadly I suspect that it is some form of tumor which wouldn't be surprising given that a 3 year old betta is pretty old. You must have taken good care of him for him to live that long. As far as I know, there isn't anything you can do about the tumor. Sorry.
