african cichlid & white egg

Question
Hi, I have an african (bumblebee) cichlid about 5 inches in size and i just noticed a round egg (i think) coming out of the underside of the fish.  Is this how they lay their eggs?  I keep reading they are mouth breeders...I'm hoping it is an egg that she will lay and then go from there but i am nervous!  Help if you can!  to make matters worse, we are moving this weekend and have to transport the tank! Ahh.

Answer
Hi Nicole,
Hmm... it could be an egg but in general it takes a cichlid only a few seconds to lay an egg.   Unfortunately, it could also be a sign of intestinal parasites.  Is there just one?
