scales coming off of my molly fish!

Question
one of my mollies (there are approx. 28-all kin in some way) is all puffy, her scales are sticking out, and many of them are coming off.  she looks like she is shedding- the other mollies seem to be 'attacking' her now for some reason- is it b/c of the scale thing or could that be the cause of her apparent scale issue? is what she has contagious? dangerous to the other fish? normal?

Hi Kathryn,
  What she has is not "normal", but it easily could be the result of the other fish attacking her.  You should isolate her right away.
