cichlids fungus ?

I have a 70 gallon tank and four different color african cichlids in the tank the yellow cichlid is developing a dark color around his mouth

Hi Adam,
 Oftena  dark color around the mouth indicates bruising because the fish has been fighting.  This is pretty normal for African cichlids and isn't a cause of immediate concern, i.e., I would not treat it.  However, I would keep a close eye on what is happening in the tank.
