Question
I have a green sevrum and 2 gold sevrums.  2 Dragon gobies also inhabit the tank.  A few days ago i noticed the green sevrum and a gold sevrum dancing around the bridge in their tank.  They had laid eggs.  But a couple days later, they are gone! Did the sevrum eat the eggs or is this supposed to happen?

Answer
Hi Liberty,
They might have eaten the eggs, but don't give up yet.  After the eggs hatch, they become "wrigglers".  Wrigglers cannot swim and the parents will often hide them in a pit out of view. They might even move them from one pit to another.  They will become free-swimming after about 4 days at which point you should see them as a school of fry.

In the worst case, if the parents did eat the eggs, they will likely lay eggs again in the future, often within a month or so.
