Question
are silver tipped sharks a FW BW or SW breed and are they good tank mates with a green spotted puffer

Answer
Hey Michael,

Silver tipped sharks are not sharks at all, they're aggressive cat fish. They're best kept in groups of 3 or more, and with peaceful fish. If your puffer has any signs of mean-ness towards anything else, or if it has ever flared up and showed it's spines, then do not get a shark of any kind. If you have sharks, and want a puffer, watch your sharks. If they seem at all territorial, or seem to race and fight to gain control during feeding, then avoid getting more fish for a while, especially fish that possibly could fight back. Green Puffers are not always the nicest of fish, in my experiance, and will not be afraid to defend themselves. Especially as 5 inch adults. Sharks, on the other hand, will get into a frenzy and throw their size and numbers at a problem too. As always, use your best judgement. If you are worried, perhaps it's a bad idea. If things seem safe, and everyone seems to be working out, and being nice to each other, then try it. Anyone can make any pair work out, so long as they are lucky enough to find the right fish, and patient enough to make sure they dont push too many buttons, or push things too far.

Best wishes, and good luck! let me know the results of your observations.
