Pink growth on Placo

Question
My 15 year old Placostomus Cat has developed a pink bubble on the end if its nose. It appears to have emerged from a hole in the skin. Can you tell me what this is, or how to take care of it?

Hi Dawn,
 It sounds to me like one of his nostrils has become inflamed.  I rarely recommend antibiotics for fishes, but this is one of the few times when you might consider using one.  Be very careful with them. Catfish are extremely sensitive.
