How long does water need to sit b4 u can put a beta fish in.. i have no drops to purify the water.. i know there is (sp?) clornie that need to be removed...

Hi Pam;

Letting the water sit out for a few hours will equalize the temperature and the chlorine will evaporate. Hoever, many public water services are now using chloramine instead of just chlorine. Chloramine does not evaporate and it is very toxic to fish. You really need water condtioner to be sure. Check the label to be sure the one you choose removes chloramine too.
