Question
QUESTION: When you cycle a tank should I clean the gravel or wait till the tank cycles?

ANSWER: Hi Michael,
Frequent little water changes will help your tank cycle.   It will help establish good bacteria.  Your tank will be cycled faster if you make small water changes frequently.

QUESTION: I am doing 25 % every two days in a 29 gallon tank is that to much? Thanks

Answer
Yes this is too much.  10% water changes every three days would be plenty.  You can check your water by buying little test kits at your pet store or Walmart.  It's important that you check your water before putting any fish in it.  When your water has zero ammonia, zero nitrites, and nitrates are low, then you can add 2 fish, and no more.  Wait one week, and check again, if your water is right, then you could add 2 more, and so on.  This also depends on the fish that you buy.  Just thought I would add this because lots of people buy fish all at once, and they die the next day.  Those little test kits are handy to have.
