Hey, i have a 54 L aquarium, (currently two gold fish and two guppys)
when i bought the aquarium i got some cichlid food with it, so when my other fish pass away (might be seven years i think but...) i might considder cichlids
So my question is, does any cichlid fit in a 54L
?

Hi Mosh,
The good news is that cichlids come in a huge range of sizes. Many are large and wouldn't be appropriate for that tank, but there are also many dozens of species that are what we call "dwarf" cichlids and would be perfectly at home in that tank. Species like the butterfly cichlid (Anomalochromis thomasi), or Nannacara anomala are great as are many of the species of Apistogramma. Also, there are shell dwellers from Lake Tanganyika, species such as Neolamprologus multifasciatus that would be great.

AnswerHi Mosh,
The best/typical way to keep cichlids are in a species tank, e.g., keep just one species of cichlid in the tank. They don't do well in "community" tanks, unless the tank is quite large.
