Question
hey ron i have a 100 gal tank with 2 penguin 350 biowheel filters ,each 1 has
2 biowheels ,1 of the penguins was new when i put it on the tank and the
other was established. i have a tiger oscar, sucker fish and 1 medium sized
goldfish in the tank ,its been set up for about 3 weeks now with the fish and
it cycled for about 2 weeks before the fish got put in ,i also have a power
head low in the tank for extra circulation and bubbles . the ph is bout 6.8 -7
ish ,75 degrees lots of circulation ive been testing the water every other day
,im showing zero ammonia levels and very slight nitrite readings ''what would
cause nitrite to be trace ammounts and ammonia to be reading zero ?'' ido
bout 10 percent water changes once a week and being carefull not to
overfeed .  '' do you think its my new biowheel filter trying to catch up with
my established one ?'' the fish seem to be happy

Answer
Hi Josh,
I wouldn't worry about it.   I would, however, increase your water changes to about 25% once a week, every week.  Your oscar will really appreciate it.
